Advent is an invitation to journey to God. This past weekend I preached about taking that journey on the path of metanoia, the Greek word for conversion, or change of heart, using three simple and common road signs.
These simple road rules are: 1. Merge with grace, 2. Yield to reconciliation & 3. Stop! During the next couple of weeks we're invited to examine our traffic patterns as we navigate the congestion of this season.
How is God inviting us to slow down and be more attentive to His presence in the here and now? I invite us to prayerfully read the story of Jacob, in the Old Testament, who beautifully said, "Surely the Lord is in this place, and I was not aware of it!" (Genesis 28:11-16).
