ADULT CONFIRMATION SPONSORS
For many reasons, young Catholics sometimes decide to stop their faith formation at a young age, but that doesn’t mean God stops forming them. Years later, these young men and women become curious about the tenants of their faith once again. The Adult Confirmation program is tailored for these college students and adults who have decided that the Catholic Faith is going to be a defining element in their lives. It is not hard to imagine they need guides, and often don’t know people who are Catholics in good-standing to lean on and get answers to their questions about the Faith. That’s where you come in. MARRIAGE MENTORS
There are few greater joys than committing oneself to the love of their life as long as they shall live, but it is not necessarily easy. As a requirement for the Sacrament of Marriage, couples must spend time talking about the practicalities of their new life together: finances, raising children, time management, communication, and continual spiritual formation. At the Newman Center, we ask that those who plan to live out their marriage in this community meet with mentor couples who can help them start their new life together with the right heart, mind and spirit. Couples who wish to mentor should be in good standing and be ready to enjoy the rich rewards that come from the ministry. When: Flexible schedule. Contact: Email the Pastor |

RCIA CANDIDATE SPONSORS
Entering the Catholic Church can be an intimidating and overwhelming process. Adult initiation is a process that requires two years of study and spiritual discovery. The Newman Center has a dedicated team of instructors and guest presenters, but there is always a need for adults who are willing to journey with those who are being initiated into the faith. You do not have to know all the answers (in fact, most discover they are on a journey as well), but you do have to be a confirmed Catholic in good standing. When: Weekly meetings Sunday mornings.
