Pastoral Leadership
St. Albert Newman Parish Councils meet with the pastor to prayerfully reflect on the life of the parish and to evaluate the ministerial efforts of the parish. Calling upon the power of the Holy Spirit, the councils seeks to discern the ways in which God calls the parish to grow.
The Parish Pastoral Council is a consultative group of laypersons who work with and support the Pastor in establishing and conducting pastoral needs of the parish, exclusive of financial affairs. The Pastoral Council assists in identifying the issues and priorities that the parish needs to address and consults with the Pastor and staff on the resolution of the issues. The Pastoral Council serves as a "sounding board" for the Pastor on issues where he wants input relating to parish policies and activities.
Are there issues in the parish that need to be addressed? If so, please let one of your Pastoral Council members know so that the Pastor, staff, and Council can be made aware of them and work toward a solution. Pastoral Council Members

The Finance Council is a select group of parishioners known for their spiritual maturity and love of Christ and the Church, endowed with special competence in financial matters and of prudent judgment. Council members offer their time and talents as a Christian ministry in the development and management of the parish's financial resources so that the parish may effectively pursue its proper mission of spreading Christ's Gospel and love.
The Finance Council serves more by the Gospel than by secular business philosophy. Efficient use of resources and money management in the context of "Church" must be measured primarily by their ability to nurture and foster the Christian mission and ministry of the parish community.
