ALTAR LINEN MINISTERS Any great liturgy is filled with people behind the scenes that help us to worship as a community. Linen Ministers properly prepare the linens for all liturgies. Contact Isabel via email [email protected] or call 575-522-6202 ext. 101 for more information ART AND ENVIRONMENT MINISTERS Do you have a passion for the aesthetic experience of liturgy? Help our community experience the fullest expression of our liturgy by conveying its symbolic richness through the appropriate use of linens, flowers, candles and more. When: Flexible, during the week to prepare for weekend Masses. ALTAR SERVERS Come join the Altar Servers and achieve a whole new level of participation and understanding. Families, men and women, young and old- all are welcome! When: Weekend Masses. New Altar Server Sign-up Form BREAD BAKERS Each of us is called to prepare ourselves to receive the Eucharist, but for some, that preparation manifests itself in a very tangible manner. The Bread Bakers of our community prayerfully bake the bread that is used for consecration at all weekend Masses. When: Home-based, in preparation for weekend Masses. COMMUNION MINISTERS Many ministers have said this is the most powerful things they have ever done. Find out what it means to minister the Body and Blood of Christ at Mass. When: Weekend Masses. LECTORS If you have a love of the Scriptures and want to come to a better understanding of them, then consider serving as a Lector at Mass. When: Weekend Masses. MUSICIANS No matter what your musical talent, Newman has room for you! Come join one of our choirs and share your gift of song with others and give glory to God! When: Weekend Masses. SACRISTANS There is no better way to learn more about the Mass. Prepare the worship area, coordinate ministers and oversee the community’s offering. When: Weekend Masses. USHERS/GREETERS Welcome our community each week as they come to Mass, assist with collections, and help make sure everything runs smoothly. When: Weekend Masses.
