What busy and blessed weeks we have had the last two weeks. The week before with the coming of Pope Francis to our border land- many of us had the opportunity to experienced that first hand and be part of the mass by the border. That was quite an experience. From my part I have to say that I got to be in the first row and see the Pope very close. I concelebrated mass with Him and many other priests from all over Mexico and the United States. It was a long day of waiting, but it was an awesome feeling being there.
After that, I headed to Sealy, Texas where I did a three day mission on the Eucharist. While my mission was going on in Texas, you had the wonderful mission here on the Sacraments. I've been hearing nothing but good things about our mission here. What a blessing that many of you attended it. Now we are celebrating the fourth Sunday of Lent. This Sunday is also known as "Laetare Sunday," from the Latin meaning "to rejoice" or "to be joyful." With that said, keep in mind the Gospel for this weekend where we hear the love and joy of the Father when the Prodigal Son comes back.
