Dear Newman Community, This past Thursday we kicked off a re-newed weekly event called Newman Nights. Newman Nights is an opportunity for students to gather for prayer, discussion and community. Over the course of the semester we will explore a number of different forms of prayer and discussion topics. See box at right. The topics and prayer experiences were selected by our student leaders in conversation with staff who are interested in where faith meets college (incidentally the title of our new faith sharing group series on Tuesdays). Their intentional reflection on how our faith connects with daily life is a good reminder to all of us that Church does not end when we leave Newman on Sunday after Mass– that's just the beginning! So, as Fr. Ray would say, a bit of homework– how will you live out your faith this week? How will you be a sign of God’s love and mercy at home, work and in our community?
