We are off and running for the 2016 Fall Semester. Last Sunday’s Mass on the Grass was a beautiful celebration! The gathered faithful, numbering 350, joined in prayer and thanksgiving in the heart of campus. Fr. Ray even brought out the incense as he offered a prayer for God’s continued blessing on our campus at the beginning of Mass.
In an effort to keep the needs of the campus community in prayer, we invite student and resident parishioners to join us in a weekly walking rosary on campus. We will meet every Monday morning at 10:30 am near the sundial on the east end of the horseshoe. We have met up the past two weeks, beginning our praying of the rosary together, then dispersing to pray the five decades in silence as each individual walks around campus. Walking around campus has helped me notice the many people involved in educating and forming students. Praying the rosary is a simple, yet powerful way to lift the needs and concerns of the administrators, custodians, professors, construction workers, maintenance and grounds personnel, office workers, food service employees and students that make up our campus community. If you have, or are aware of any particular needs or concerns, please email them to [email protected] and we will include them in walking rosary.
Peace,
Sal
