History of the Visioning CommitteeCollaborating with Fr. Ray to Formulate Meaningful Vision and Direction for our Parish
In the fall of 2012, after considerable thought and prayer, Fr.Ray invited nearly two dozen parishioners representing different sectors of our congregation to be a part of a ‘Visioning Group’ for our parish. Sub-groups of the Visioning Group, under Fr. Ray’s direction and in collaboration with our entire faith community (YOU!), will help direct the future of our parish by looking at where our parish has been, where we are now, and where we are going. Sub-Groups of the Visioning CommitteeWhere have we been?
The sub-group looking at this question is compiling information via interviews to develop a written documentation of the history and accomplishments of our parish. This information will be used to recognize and celebrate past successes as well as lessons learned in order to formulate a meaningful future for our parish. Get involved with Newman's History Project by sharing your story or helping to identify key people who have been involved with the Newman Center over the years! Have questions? Email Barbara DeLeon or Emma Armendariz for more info. Where are we now? The sub-group looking at this question is compiling information on our current congregation’s needs and resources in an effort to develop a revised strategic parish plan. This group will also look at previously begun and ongoing infrastructure projects to align them with the new vision for our community. Where are we going? The sub-group looking at this question will review where we have been and formulate short and long term plans of actions for our parish. |
