What is humility and how do I attain it?
Humility is a virtue that can be practiced, and its foundation is in love, it’s the ultimate call to trust someone else to lead you in life. It’s to consider others but especially God as superior to you. The opposite is pride, where you don’t trust anybody but yourself, and you go through life relying only on yourself, you are good, you are the best, it’s all about you. Humility is all about the other, they ask for help, they accept Gods will as the ultimate good no matter what it is. They look for the good of others, they give their life for others out of love. The humble person, does not need to know all of the facts of life or all of the answers, they accept life as it is in all simplicity. The humble person learns and understands wisdom in the simple things of life, like in a smile, or a flower or a kiss. They don’t need extravagant things or honors or metals of approval, because they are content with what they have and live life always grateful.
This is what humility means for me, and by the grace of God, I hope to lead others, by example towards this magnificent virtue
