Sacraments for Adults
The Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA)
Do you know someone not baptized or baptized in a non-Catholic Christian tradition, who is thirsting for what it means to become Catholic? Do you know someone already Catholic but has not yet received Confirmation & Communion? They may be thirsting too!
The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is a place to ask questions and seek understanding. Weekly "no obligation" inquiry sessions start September 10th.
For more information contact Sal by email or in the parish office.
Anointing of the Sick and Care of the Homebound
Do you have a family member or friend who is sick or elderly and unable to come to church? Our Homebound Ministers would be glad to visit your loved one at home with Holy Communion. Please call the parish office at 575-522-6202 to set up visits for Communion or Anointing of the Sick.
The parish also offers the anointing of the sick every first Friday at the 5:30 PM Mass.
Holy Orders and Religious Life
Life as a priest, deacon, religious sister or religious brother is a dynamic combination of creativity, challenge and fulfillment. We invite all single people to consider a vocation as priest or religious sister or brother as a viable option for the future. We invite all men single or married to consider a vocation to the diaconate.
If you would like to explore the possibility of a religious vocation, please contact Fr. Alex at 522-6202 or email Fr. Alex to arrange a time to talk.
You can also check out the information on vocations at the following websites:
United States Council of Catholic Bishops http://www.foryourvocation.org/
Diocese of Las Cruces http://www.dioceseoflascruces.org/sub_page.php?num=46
Adult Confirmation is for people in our community who were baptized Catholic, received First Holy Communion, but never received the sacrament of Confirmation. Adult Confirmation is separate from the RCIA as it has its own specific program.
Sessions will begin on September 18th.
For more information, please contact Sal by email or in the parish office.
The Sacrament of Penance is celebrated every Saturday from 4 PM to 5 PM in the Reconciliation Chapel in the church. Private appointments for the sacrament may be made by calling the office at 522-6202 or emailing email@example.com.
Weddings at St. Albert the Great Newman Center are usually celebrated on Saturdays between 10 AM and 2:00 PM. The Diocese of Las Cruces requires that arrangements must be made no later than six months in advance of the wedding date.
All parties seeking marriage at St. Albert’s Newman Center should be registered parishioners. Please schedule an appointment with Fr. Alex at 575-522-6202 or email firstname.lastname@example.org to receive additional information.
