Bienvenidos! Welcome to St. Albert the Great Newman Center. We are the Catholic parish that serves New Mexico State University. In 1930, a small group of Catholic students formed the Newman Club. Over the years we have grown into a parish with a special mission to serve the university community. Since our beginning, we have strived to maintain our special charism of hospitality. We hope our website is an adequate introduction to our community and if you are in Las Cruces, please join us for worship.

The Roman Missal, Third Edition, the ritual text containing prayers and instructions for the celebration of the Mass, is now being prepared for publication. In the United States, seven publishers (Catholic Book Publishing Corp., Liturgical Press, Liturgy Training Publications, Magnificat, Midwest Theological Forum, USCCB Communications, and World Library Publications) will publish ritual editions and are now advertising their plans and will soon accept pre-orders. The Roman Missal will be implemented in the United States of America on the First Sunday of Advent, November 27, 2011.
